You have probably heard of PFAS, often referred to as “forever chemicals”. They are extremely difficult to break down and can remain in the environment indefinitely. Research shows that certain PFAS can increase the risk of cancer, affect the immune system, and disrupt reproduction.

In 2024, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation tested PFAS levels in drinking water from households across Sweden. The results showed that 92 percent contained PFAS.

Most of the PFAS we are exposed to comes from contamination in food and drinking water. This makes water quality an increasingly important issue.
